The world of motion pictures has lost one of its greatest actresses.

Maureen O'Hara was truly in the upper echelon of Hollywood film stardom. She represented everything that was good about 20th century film making.

RIP Maureen :rose: . For years, my Dad always found some tv station showing "The Quiet Man" on St. Patrick's Day and we would watch it together. I always enjoyed that much more than "How Green Was My Valley." I think my sister and I saw that once on Dialing for Dollars and found it too sad!

The Quiet Man has always been one of my favorite movies, and she has always been one of my favorite actresses. She was a great role model for young girls. For the most part, she played strong characters at a time when it was unusual for women to do so. I remember watching her movies as a kid and loving them so much. She will very much be missed.

I hate it when the old timers pass away. There are few today that possess the dignity some of them had.

I absolutely agree. They were real artists, had passion for acting and had a natural elegance.
