(Great storytelling and even better music!)

They say I shot a man named Grey and took his wife to Italy

She inherited a million bucks and when she died it came to me

I can't help it if I'm lucky

May be my favorite verse in a rock song ever.

Wow, that is my favourite line on that album...his conclusion of the turn of events is just brilliant.

My all time favorite album by my all time favorite band with my all time favorite song on it which was written and sung by my all time favorite singer and includes probably my all time favorite guitar solo by probably my all time favorite guitarist...of all time. It was also the most expensive album ever recorded when it was first made, it shot a six minute progressive operetic rock murder story up to number one on the British charts for nine weeks straight, it has some of the most astounding and genius production of any album ever, and it is loaded with an unmatched variety of songs in the way of diversity while still maintaining excellent flow (bar maybe Sweet Lady). Masterpiece if I ever heard one.

18. The Beatles - Revolver

Let's get it out of the way! This is probably the Beatles strongest album song for song. The lyrics have more depth. The songs are heavier. And the Beatles really start taking advantage of the recording studio.

19 black sabbath- master of reality

Voted for this as one of the first and most defining heavy metal albums. My favorite by this band, and a groundbreaking release.

Great from start to finish. Their best in my view. It won't be their last in the top 500 for sure but if anyone thinks there is a great album by them after 78' then you post it... :)

Pick something else instead Lorraine. Just change it for another album.

One of PT's best records with an amazing EP to accompany it. Probably Steven Wilson's best music still. And one of Alex Lifeson's greatest solos.
