Hard to go against Xanadu, but La Villa wins by a hair for me.

It's so hard to choose…but Xanadu wins by a hair.  Both classics.

This is hard, no question; let me take a bite of this honeydew and think about it . . .

Hemispheres is a much better album than AFTK, but I prefer Xanadu by leaps and bounds.

La Villa should be shorter - the arrangement is so repetitive it seems obvious they’re filling up space. The listener gets beaten to death with the clunky Powerhouse motif. I do love the beginning and the solo though.

Funny you mention repetitiveness but seem to apply that critique solely to La Villa.  Xanadu could be 2/3 its length and lose nothing, as the final third is a repeat.

You could pound me with that La Villa motif for an hour and I don`t think I`d tire of it.  Xanadu, at six minutes or even three minutes, I`d still be scratching my chin and thinking I. just. don`t. get. it.

La Villa Strangiato!
I love Xanadu once in a while but La Villa is turned up more often.

Xanadu has a vocal part though - it adds another dimension. If La Villa had some lyrics it might break it up better.

Xanadu could be three times as long, and it still wouldn't be long enough for me
