Why the focus on whats the worst?

Are we that pressed for topics here?
Yes... ;)

Okay fine...

Take a Friend
Rivendell
You Bet Your Life
The Big Wheel
Can't pick just one?
And two of these are at least good and I don't mean the last two... :)

How do we get to page two without a reference to Tai Shan?

I think the short list is:

Tai Shan
Rivendell
Madrigal

Agree totally on Tai Shan but not the other two. There are many far worse post 85' than those two in my view. Every album has at least a couple and some more than that... :codger:

As someone who loves every song Rush has put out its hard for me to pick one. But if I had to it would be Tai Shan. I still love the song though.

The larger bowl isn't even the worst song on SnA.  Anything that sounds forced is nominated by me.  Countdown is forced but gets a pass.  Tai Shan was very forced and is not chorus of superconductor is forced and awful.  It's between them but I'll go tai Shan.

I like madrigal and rivendell is not bad it's just out of character for rush in the grand scheme.  Tai Shan was what happens when you say "we are going to put a song on the next album about my trip to China" instead of picking the best songs.

Hope?  There's not much to it but it's very pretty.  I have a couple of plays of it strung together to listen to when I want a calming influence . . .

Tai Shan, now you're talking!  I always think it's the Rush song that doesn't sound like Rush.

Yeah I think Hope is pretty too. Tai Shan gets my vote too. I won't even listen to it anymore. Ugh.

Any answer that isn't "Rivendell" is wrong. That song is an embarrassment to listen to. Any other song from Rush's catalog comes on in the radio with some friends and you could say "eh, yeah, that's not their best moment." Rivendell's the kind of thing that will get you some really curious looks.

"Nobody's Hero" is pretty embarrassing.
