JohnnyBlaze
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmb6Kyb7eoE Live at Laura Secord Secondary School, 1974 Track #2 = Before and After :haz: From the YouTube comments: GrantGamez Wrong day to ditch class... :laughing guy: ETA: Is Geddy wearing a table cloth?Never saw Before and After performed live. Thanks for that. Oh, YES that IS a table cloth. Wearing a table cloth or a set of kitchen drapes was fashionable in Toronto in the early to mid 70s. Geddy was more hip to fashion then compared to these days in which he usually conservatively dresses in jeans and a T.

Before And After is a great song... Rutsey is a good, solid drummer - excellent for what the band was doing here .. He's got my respect for being a part of this great era . . Lucas
Could someone explain Ronny Legg ?? Was he a musician, or a protégé of Siegfried and Roy ?? A serious note: This was John Rutsey's final show ever as a member of RUSH And quite possibly the last photo taken of him with the band July 25, 1974 Centennial Hall, London Ontario http://www.2112.net/powerwindows/tours/740725rushwithronnielegg.jpg http://www.kissnews.de/Hauptseite/Kiss1975-07-25.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3679/12135970756_8986500bde_z.jpg

TexMike
Moving Pictures goes Platinum or Gold. Neil looks thrilled. As usual. Everybody got a framed record except the guy who wrote the lyrics that made the record successful? Eeyore's is down by his knees. :PAh yes, I see it now, thanks. Neil was probably thinking "Dammit, how many books will I need to rearrange to make room for this dumb thing?"

It was definitely best for all parties that he left when he did. He would've died much younger otherwise.

Lucas
The details on this pic said RUSH 1968 - Alex Lifeson, John Rutsey, Geddy Lee, which would put them at 18 years old This is probably from this era: Geddy He turned his basement into practice space for a band he formed with high-school friends. After the band began earning income from small performances at high-school shows or other events, he decided to drop out of high school and play rock and roll professionally. His mother was devastated when he told her, and he still feels that he owes her for the disappointments in her life. "All the shit I put her through," he says, "on top of the fact that she just lost her husband. I felt like I had to make sure that it was worth it. I wanted to show her that I was a professional, that I was working hard, and wasn't just a f***in' lunatic" http://www.oocities.org/sunsetstrip/amphitheatre/2740/earlyrush.jpg Edited September 9, 2015 by Lucas

I think if I put any number of my older bros' friends in the 70s behind a set of drums they'd look like Peart.
