fraroc
https://www.youtube....h?v=oxMLGYO6UHA How do I put Animusic in words....Let's just say they are 3D animations of robotic, self playing musical instruments and musical lasers playing kickass music. These were big around the time when I was a little kid in the early 2000s. Two Animusic video albums were made in 2001 and 2004, a third one was in development and was supposed to be released in 2013, but has been "indefinitley postponed" so I don't know if we'll ever see it, sadly. The guys who are in charge of Animusic are huge prog rock fans and have actually done an animation to Kansas' Device Voice Drum DVD. TheWatchMaker97
Animusic? .... "Ani", referring to the fact the video is 100% animated. "Music", referring to the fact there is music playing over the animated clip. "Animusic".

Blue J
they are 3D animations of robotic, self playing musical instruments and musical lasers playing kickass music. This from the same man who attributes some of his depression to the pending demise of lots of touring acts who actually play the music themselves...with real, human hands, and all that... I'm just funnin' a little bit, fraroc. ;) I never heard of animusic before now.
cygnify
I have had both of those DVDs for years - I think my wife got them for donating to PBS. They are neat - my kids enjoy them too (my kids call them the "Robot drummer"). I love the drum one (with all the gears, like a big drum factory) and there's one with bouncing balls that create sounds off of strings, drums, etc. It is pretty impressive programming to synch all the animation with the detail songs (which I understand are somewhat Prog influenced.) They had talked about making a 3rd video for some time - I'm not sure if it will ever come out. http://www.animusic.com/

All the budget that was supposed to go towards completing and releasing animusic 3 was spent on medical expenses...
Thebuckeye2112
I have heard of them, I personally like most of their music, although I though Cathedral Pictures was overkill, although my favorite one is Heavy Light because it kind of sounds like Subdivisions.
