KISS Fans - If KISS Had Put Out A KISS Album in 78 w/ Songs From The Solo Albums

Here's what I would have loved to see:

In 1978, KISS puts out a KISS album with the songs that made up their solo albums instead of each member putting out his own album ... It would have been the follow-up to Rock And Roll Over and Love Gun - a rock and roll album with just the four members playing the songs ..

So if you were Bill Aucoin circa 1978, you get the boys together and give them your suggestions:

- What's the album title ?

- What producer ?

- What 10 songs will make the album ?

And then, as the producer, you can change who sings each song ( ie Paul can sing a song written by Ace, etc)

What's your finished album ??

Here's mine:

KISS - Back On The Street - 1978

Produced by Eddie Kramer

Track list:

Side One

1) It's Alright ( sung by Paul )

2) Radioactive ( sung by Gene, rearranged and recorded heavier for more balls )

3) NY Groove ( sung by Ace )

4) In Need Of Love ( written by Ace, sung by Paul )

5) See You Tonight ( sung by Gene )

Side Two

1) Rip It Out ( sung by Ace )

2) Move On ( written by Paul, sung by Paul and Peter trading lines or together )

3) Snow Blind ( written by Ace, sung by Gene .. a sort of follow up to Cold Gin )

4) Speeding Back To My Baby ( written by Ace, sung by Peter )

5) Wouldn't You Like To Know Me ( sung by Paul )

This would be a hard sell to Peter and Gene, but the reality is that neither one had much to bring to the table song-wise

That, IMHO, would have been a classic KISS album

I really wanted to pick something from all of them, but Peter's is just...not good. Gene only got one.

Awesome post Strom !!!!!!!!

Love the back cover with the song titles

Would have been awesome in 1978

Thanks :) I felt bad leaving Peter out but then I put the barcode over his face and made myself laugh, so I went with it.

We need Earl's expert opinion here!

Ok my friend! I just did a quick study of all four albums. ACE of course takes the cake.

So here we go!

I will save the best for last on this 10 track Kiss solo album.

STANLEY

1. "Take Me Away Together As One"

2. "Tonight You Belong To Me"

Peter

3. "Hooked On Rock And Roll"

4. "I Can't Stop The Rain"

Gene

5. "Radioactive"

6. "See You Tonite"

Ace

7. "New York Groove"

8. "Speedin' Back To My Baby"

9. "Rip It Out"

10. "SNOW BLIND"

ACE RULES!

How else are we supposed to get us some Frehley without the other 3 clowns..??

Ace's playing is the only one's I can listen to.. and he's my favorite personality in the band too. Go figure!

Someone deserves a prize for getting me to post in a Kiss thread though lol

Holy shit! 'I was made for loving you' just came on the radio!

damn you Lucas!!! Lol ;)

But where is "shock me" ?

That's on Love Gun.

Oops....

It's a great song, but wouldn't have as good had it been on Ace's solo album

Whenever Gene, Ace or Peter sings a song, and Paul comes in w/ the back up vocals, it sends shivers thru me

The band together was electric
