Both top songs but Book II very slightly edges out Book I.

Yep...my thoughts exactly. Book I is tremendous!

...but it's no Hemispheres.

Book 1. I love both but the first part has been a favourite for a long time, and I am more compelled to play it often than I ever am towards Hems.

Hems is a mood album for me, and when I am in the mood, it is fair to say it is my favourite thing ever!

But that mood is rare. Hard to explain.

There are no wrong answers when it comes to these two songs.

From a pure musical and complexity stand point, Hemispheres wins. But this is an impossible choice. I love both of these tracks and listen to them quite often.

I had to give it to The Voyage. It's the first one.

I remember how strange it sounded hearing it for the first time after I peeled the plastic wrap off the record back in 1977. It's a much heavier song than Book II.
Now there's a new instrumental version with a drum solo from R40.
