Rush Concerts Attended Before 1985

Never been to a Rush gig but would have loved to have seen them around early eighties.However i did see Rory Gallagher who Rush supported in the early days in 79 at a local pub.He blew the place apart and got countless encores.One of my best gigs.Sorry to go off topic.

Rory Gallagher is a brilliant and very much underrated guitarist. Several of us here on the forum count ourselves as fans.

If anyone from Hobart ,Tasmania who was at the Claremont? Hotel at that gig it is has gone down as legend.Fender guitars thrown about,jugs of Guiness consumed ,but Rory was refused entry to his hotel room later that night at our local casino because he was wearing a flanelette shirt and no tie.There is a recording of this gig and i have heard it many years ago.It was a blast.

I saw them twice in the early 80's both at the salt palace here in Utah--but the dates escape me.
