I'm interested in knowing who here has been to see Rush in the seventies and eighties.

Please include date and place of concert.

Thank you! :)

P.S. I want to know who to envy and be in awe of. ;) ;) ;) Then I will proceed to beat myself up and make myself feel even worse than I already do for never having gone to see them back then. :beathorse: :whip: :smash: :poke: :boo hiss: :boo hiss: :boo hiss:

"GUP" 1984 at the Cow Palace in South San Francisco

"Power Window" 1986 at the Cow Palace South San Francisco

*I had my Rush ticket to see them on the 24th of May at Cal Expo in Sacramento Ca.

My parents forced me to go to my senior ball. It was a disaster!!!!!! I'm still bitter. :)

Sorry! I included 1985. I was too damn young to see Rush in the Seventies but I made up for it over the next 30 years!

December 2, 1982: Madison Square Garden, New York City

September 21, 1983: Radio City Music Hall, New York City

December 2, 1982: Madison Square Garden, New York City

September 21, 1983: Radio City Music Hall, New York City

Two enviable tours.

My Radio City exprience was the best ever for me. 3rd row center and booing Marillion off the stage.

I saw them twice in the early 80's both at the salt palace here in Utah--but the dates escape me.

September 2nd 1982

May 14th 1984

Another Signals and Grace Under Pressure one.

:(

Parents wouldn't let me go to Moving Pictures tour--there was angst and tears.

A tragedy of epic proportions for sure. :(

I was never to a concert at Radio City, just movies and the Rockettes. :|

I was 15, couldn't drive yet and they didn't want me to go with my stoner friends.

I may have made the same decision for my kids.

Haha! Thanks and NO! I have not forgiven them!!! Well now that it is written and it is 2015 perhaps I should. You see back then I was a senior in high school. When I knew that Rush was going to play on the 24th of May a bunch of my Rush buddies and I thought they were going to play "Lakeside Park." Of course they never did but wow worth the wait? HELL YES! I was amazed they played it in 2015!!

So yes, I will forgive my parents today!

I saw that p/g show at the Cow Palace. I don't remember much of it other than seeing Count Floyd. I wish I remembered it.

My first was during the Hemispheres tour, Dayton Hara Arena, December 1st, 1978

After that was:

1979 - Hemispheres/Permanent Waves tour - same venue

1980 - Permanent Waves - UD Arena

1981 - Moving Pictures tour - Hara Arena

1983 - Signals tour - Cincinnati Riverfront Coliseum

1984 - Grace Under Pressure tour - Columbus Ohio Center

After that it was almost a decade before I saw the next tour for Roll The Bones. Some of that was due to not liking the way the music had changed and some of it was due to moving to another city and getting a different job.
