La Villa Strangiato is in a class all by itself. Alex never surpassed himself on Hemispheres.

110% agree.

I agree with your agreement!

Your agreement to my agreement agrees with me agreeably.

Nope, not voting in this one either. I don't want to have to decide.

I can totally respect that.

As wonderful as Clockwork Angels is...I just can't vote against Hemispheres in any way, shape, or form.

Clockwork Angels...not even close in my book.

I enjoy hemispheres about once a year.

Really?

I didn't know that. I learn something new every day, I tells ya!

To me the album has a great track--La Villa. The title track has moments of awesomeness. Other than that...3.5 out of 5 stars.

Circumstances is ok. Not bad. The Trees is a good song.

To paraphrase the biggest song by a band who's sold more records but is nowhere near as talented as Rush.

Maybe I'll come back maybe next week, cause CA is on a losing streak.

When is the synth era coming up?

Right about then

Well, there is an argument as to just when that era started. Kind of like what decade Permanent Waves really belongs to. That kind of thing. You know. :)

So, you are going to have to give me an album name.

I love Hemispheres, I do. But CA will always have more life in it to my ears.

There is no argument on the latter-- PeW is a 70s album. You have a good point on the former question though--I say PoW, but I suppose a case could be made for Signals.

...I'm flattered, but I've always sided more with sci-fi than fantasy, and CA is much more sci-fi than Hems.

(Thanks for doing my thing though ;) )

I was going to pose the same question...as I feel the synth era started in earnest with Grace Under Pressure. It was a much bigger sonic shift compared to Signals than Signals was, compared to Moving Pictures. To my ears, anyway.
