Aside from the fact that most of you despise The Police, do you honestly think Rush is more talented?  Don't you think that The Police is at least as talented?    Longevity has nothing to do with the answer.  The only reason why most bands don't last as long as Rush with their original members has to do with too many egos getting in the way.

I should  have included another option in the polls.  I am going to edit them.  :)

Rush were more talented musicians, yes. Especially back in the 80s.  Not to say that the guys in The Police weren't quite talented and gifted songwriters, they were.

Then talent has little to do with how popular a band becomes it seems.

The Police were a lot more popular than Rush for the time that they lasted as a band.

I guess having Sting as a lead singer didn't hurt.  :laughing guy:
