Mick, what do you think of Bad Attitude from Meat Loaf? I've always liked it a lot. I love the very mid 80s sound of it. I like that a couple Steinman songs showed up on it too.

I love Bad Attitude.  your right it's his  most 80's record.  there's a great irreverent fun vibe too it. it 's my fav of the post dead Ringer 80's albums.

and Surf's up is one of my fav Steinman songs.  and as usual Meat sells it like it's the most important song he'll ever sing, lol

I'm pretty meh on everything from Bat 3 onward. Couldn't Have Said It Better was the last whole album I enjoyed from him. I felt Bat 3 was an awful attempt at trying to re-re-capture the special magic of the other two that I don't feel was possible for him at that point. There's some good songs but the album is overall not worthy of the Bat Out Of Hell name. Nothing else after that did it for me.

I listened to bat 3 last night and the best thing about that album are the Steinman songs for me.

it should have been a Meat/Steinman album through and through.

alas they weren't all the best terms than.

also side note.  it sucks that people age.  because meat loaf to me in my head will always be the long haired 93/94 Meat.

not only did he sound his best.  that was his best LOOK, Imo.

he was really fit than too.....for meat i mean, lol

A funny note, long hair, overweight and clean shaven was also my look in 93/94. I kind of looked like I could have been Meat's son. The kids at school used to joke about it with me that the reason I was such a huge fan was because I really was his kid lol.

The similar looks were coincidental though. I had already been growing my hair out before Bat 2 hit.
