So, here's my question for the both of you...

Bruce or Tom?

Why do you say so?

I am happy to say, for me, it will always be Bruce. Love him!

As for Waits, genius. Took me a while...took me way too long, in fact, to understand his genius.

Cat 3, are you a Roxy Music fan?

I'm obsessed with them atm

I’m really most familiar with “Avalon” “Country Life” and Brian Ferry’s “Boys and Girls”.

Your spins have got me thinking I need to delve into their music.

So much music, so little time.

I absolutely adore them. I've bought all eight albums during the lockdown. Country Life, For Your Pleasure and Avalon are my favourites. Not one weak album though.

What albums do you recommend?

All of them!

But, as you've played Country Life and Avalon, I suggest two more, one from each period:

The art rock early years:

For Your Pleasure

The more commercial years:

Sirens

Great, more money to spend during the lockdown! :)

I can’t tell you how much music, movies and books I’ve purchased over the past 2 months!

Same haha!

The nice thing is, it's given me time to finally explore things I didn't have time for.

Sabbath, for example.

The selftitled debut is great to, but the second half is nowhere near as strong as the first.

Personally, I love all their albums. I can't praise their short but sweet discography highly enough.

wow....sweet. i'll be watching this!!!!

it was a fantastic album.

Mick

Album of the year!

Still can't believe it took me so long to get into them. Everything I like about metal they do very well.

Haha we mentioned you a lot when we privately chatted about Trivium.

I'm glad you finally took the plunge. They are everything I love about metal. I'd say my favourite metal bands, if I had too, are Iron Maiden, Trivium and Paradise Lost.

I wouldn't say they haven't made a blip. They're a band I have known about for years. They have a decent level of popularity in the US. I think they can fill venues that fit a couple thousand by themselves. But I do find it odd that bands like Five Finger Death Punch and Avenged Sevenfold have made it to area headliners here and Trivium didn't. I guess they refused to kiss the right asses lol.
