Top Ten Rush Albums:

1. A Farewell To Kings 10/10

2. Moving Pictures 10/10

3. Hold Your Fire 10/10

4. Vapor Trails 9/10 (slipped slightly...I overrated a couple of songs, which remain very good but not 10/10 material)

5. Grace Under Pressure 9/10 (darn you Red Lenses...without you this would have been No. 1!)

6. Caress Of Steel 9/10 (I truly love every song...just not the spoken word segments in The Necromancer)

7. Presto 9/10

8. 2112 8/10

9. Counterparts 7/10 (stupid Stick It Out. Yuck!)

10. Hemispheres (normally...7/10. In the right frame of mind, this is a 10/10, but it is really mood dependent).

This list makes way more sense!

My top three are all pretty much number one.

I like how we both have albums we love slipping! You have Hems, I have VT.

Otherwise, my top six or seven is pretty much the it has always been!

Like always, I forgot Permanent Waves!

Place that ahead of Hemispheres.

I feel bad for never likeing Grace Under Pressure......but it's just rush Trying to be ultravox which i hate.......cause i don't like that band.

Tried it the other day. I can never finish.

Mick

I never really hear any of this. To me it is basically like Signals, but all great songs in the vein of MP. Power Windows sounds like Flock Of Seagulls to me. Which is great!

I like Flock of Seagulls. Power windows has a nostalgia thing for cause it reminds me of being in a video game arcade, lol. you know all the synth-y bloops and bleeps, lol.

i get a picture of old arcades, lol.

Agreed. Rush didn't find their firm footing till the 80's

Kansas had their footing from record 1.

80's Rush Mauls Kansas though.

Joni Mitchell's Hejira is Brilliant. What a different sort of listen. Wonder why Segue hasn't delved into Joni.

Mick

Blue J sent me an album. I am waiting for one of those days when I have the patience and desire to reach out of my comfort zone, and then I will play her stuff.

just be warned Hejira won't grab you right off. it it does i'll be impressed. it's a very word-y lyrical album.
