A great film by an under-appreciated director.

John Boorman. Not afraid of anything. Braving the wild to film Deliverance. He also holds another distinction. Probably the only filmmaker to direct his own daughter getting codsmashed (I just made up a word I think) by a knight in full armor.

We all remember that scene...don't we?

I love Excalibur. Great movie. RIP Nigel Terry :rose:

He was also in a David Tennant Doctor Who from a few years back

I have often thought, that in the hereafter of our lives,

When I owe no more to the future, and can be just a man,

That we may meet, and you will come to me,

And claim me yours, and know that I am your husband.

It is a dream I have.

When I read the title I thought of B.B. King.

It made my heart jump for a second. Though with the recent news, it may be coming sooner than we'd like :(

Now what doofus would put a BB King thread in the Video section?

Excalibur is a classic- still love to see it. All time top five movie of my husband's. I love John Boorman's "Hope and Glory", his autobiographical pic about growing up in Britain in the middle of WWII. Great movie in a lot of ways and I still laugh at the kids just climbing through the bombing rubble and trying to get unexploded bullets, etc to fire off!

I saw this thread on the home page, so I didn't know which subforum this was in.

I'm the kind of doofus who doesn't have time to read what subforum it is posted under, before he jumps in with both feet ;)
