Hello, new member here, just got on a Rush bender and cannot seem to stop!
Is there a place here somewhere where people post fanfic of the band?

Oh god, I suggest that you should avoid that, but there's always fanfiction.net. if you can't find much just look around the internet.

Considering the user name, I think you're right.

Usually fanfic works better when dealing with fictional characters.  Dirk, Lerxst, and Pratt are--dare I say--real.  You simply must understand that such behavior can be deemed stalkerish?

Not really, this is a fandom, and even though they are real, I will most likely never meet them, so they might as well be characters.
People write celebrity based fanfic all the time.

It's still a bit bizarre. Maybe it wouldn't be with other artists, but with these guys it would be.

We're not trying to make you feel unwelcome, but this forum isn't about fanfic.  There are better websites for that sort of thing.

But if you'd like to talk about stuff like the upcoming tour, songs you like, or corn dogs, then this is the place :)

And it's still uber-creepy. This isn't the Sims.

Starting to respect Pratt's aversion to fans a bit more.

Yeah this kinda stuff isn't really done on TRF.

except for The Yukon Blade Grinder. They suck though, and are generally avoided by ALL TRF members.

Evidently I am not up on my fanboy (or fangirl) short-hand...when I first saw the topic this morning, I thought 'fanfic' was just some nonsense word (no offense to the OP intended; I'm just being honest)...I had no idea it was a generally accepted term.

I've even been a writer at times, myself (not of celebrity fiction, but other things), and I didn't know. :codger:

hey, what turns you on turns you on and there's not much you can do about it. we're not trying to be dicks, but anyone would get made fun of if they came in here looking for rush-themed porno
