Cyclonus, thank you. I honestly don't care for the album and would never have listened to most of the songs again had it not been for your post.

Manhattan Project isn't a bad song at all. :) In fact, for Rush, it is a very interesting song. Especially Alex's guitar in it.

Yeah, that song took a while to grow on me, but it's actually one of my favorites now. I really like the lyrics and the vocal melodies.

I still don't like Red Sector A, and I definitely can't stand Middletown Dreams, but I have a real emotional attachment to Distant Early Warning, and lots of memories too.

I love Red Sector A and would post the disco ball if I could but I am lying in bed on my phone and can't...

I don't like RSA either and I think it always drags the mood down when it's played live. I'm not a fan of Middletown Dreams either but mainly because I used to live in a town of the same name. It just hit too close to home.

What is it about Power Windows that makes many of you think he sang his best on it? Just curious.

The harmonies. I love them. Just listen to Marathon…perfection!

HEMISPHERES - Most unique and cool vocal performance on any Rush album.

Marathon is a great song. It kills especially live.

^^^ Cool pic. :)

Very... :dweez:

I thought so, too. Don't think I've seen that one before.

I found it on Cyngus x-1.net - tour photographs from the Hemispheres Tour. Here's a link if you want to seem more shots:

I remember hearing it on the Time Machine Tour—that was my first concert! I jumped when the shots went off!

Here's one for Narps - supposedly from the All the World's a Stage tour, but I didn't know Lifeson was playing a double neck on that tour.

For me it was a tie between Power Windows and HYF, but I chose PoW.

To me that's about right...though IMO Clockwork Angels has it all in terms of vocal range, and sound.

Have you been listening to the same CA as me?

Yiddle oh lay hee hoooooo!

Grand Designs belonged on Presto.

Mick

Mick, no one ever has to apologize for loving a Rush song. :)

Have a hug. :hug2:

I don't have to apologise for liking Chain Lightning, Cold Fire or Nocturne more than Hemispheres?
