Post all things BBQ and things that go great with BBQ!

Here's something my family and I did last summer while I was at home. Smoked chicken breasts, with Greek seasoning and cayenne pepper.

Here's something I really want to try out once I get stateside again and have a grill to use. Molding a burger bowl with a beer can and filling it with all sorts of goodies, like onions, peppers, bacon, etc. or if you're weird, mushrooms. Then glue the top shut with some cheese!

Excuse the good ole' boy redneck attitude in the video...

Bowlcity is the man for starting this thread....just sayin'

I'm a bbq ho...unashamedly.

Texas has it good, as does Memphis and KC. Western NC/East TN has it's own Appalachian thing.

Texas wins most of the time in my book!

I'm surprised there wasn't a BBQ thread already! What's not to love about deliciously unhealthy meat creations covered in a bunch of sauce!?

I don't discriminate regions when it comes to BBQ, everything's got something to offer, though I generally steer clear of the Southeast coast sauces since they like their mustard based sauces. Yuck. Kansas City has some of my favorite sauces, though. Went to Poppa's BBQ in Bonner Springs, KS for dinner before we saw Rush in Kansas City on the CA Tour.

Texas BBQ your favorite? No shit! :P

I lived in the southeast for the majority of my childhood, and we went to Sonny's Pit BBQ often. They had some really good brisket and smoked chicken legs, with some awesome Texas toast to go with.

To be honest, I didn't dig far. Clicked on "view more topics" once and didn't see any dedicated BBQ threads.

Respectfully, what's weird about mushrooms??  A giant portabella stuffed in that burger thing would make it great!!   Posted Image

(I have to deal with mushrooms anyway since Mr. blues is a vegetarian. )  I go for the pulled pork BBQ with the vinegar slaw myself. . . .

To each their own I guess. I can't stand mushrooms

I would fill the burger WITH the pulled pork, along with some grilled onions. Then I'd fill another with that hashbrown and roast beef combo in the video

We had a threat about BBQ a few years back. I had a BBQ Blog up from about 2004 to 2009, I travelled on business a good bit in the 90s and kept notes on 80 or so places I visited. My all time favorite BBQ item is Burnt Ends at Wiley's Championship BBQ. Favorite ribs are at the Shed in Ocean Springs MS. Also like the Big Bib in San Antonio.
