So while browsing the iTunes I see 'Hold Your Fire' at the interesting price of $5.99.

I'm in a pickle, what to do? I have the original muffled 1987 version.

And it has served me well. Mostly collecting dust.

But now a deal of a lifetime is upon us?

I trust these Polls. They are 100% honesty.

I never buy music from iTunes.

They destroy the quality of the files by selling them as lossy files.

Trust me, it's a huge difference between iTunes files and lossless files. I have compared!

I have the remaster that was released in 1997. Sounds plenty good to me.

I have the original vinyl and the 1997 remaster.

Both are glorious. I could listen to the album with my head under water during a blinding migraine and still find much to love about it.

As for iTunes sucking a phat one sonically, personally that critique is just music snob rubbish. They sound great. People only hear flaws because they have too much time to spend nitpicking like a gorilla in a heatwave.

Tai Shan is a 10/10 Rush song. One of my very favourites.

Not even joking.

I have the remaster and the original. I always want a physical copy. My local Barnes and Noble has a small selection of Rush remasters....$4.99. The one they have that I still need is the debut. Edited by A rocket that ignites itself

This amazes me somewhere there is STILL a Barnes and Noble.

There are two of them in my area- but neither one of them has sold music in ages.

I agree that's harder to find.

I could spend hours at my local B&N. It's such a huge store. Unfortunately, you have to go waaaaaay in the back for any CD/DVD/B-RAY options. New stuff is overpriced unless you get it day/week of release.

They have a decent $4.99 CD selection for older material.

So if it's collecting dust...whhhhhhhy buy the remaster?

HYF sucks donkey balls anyway.

With a Electronic version I can finally toss the original.

Or will the Pawn shop give me 89 cents for it??? HMMMMMMMMMMMM

:eyeroll:

I should have known this thread would be booted up again just to be booted in the face. :(

Hold Your Fire is one the strongest collections of songs Rush ever produced. And as technically challenging as anything they did in the 1970s.

Hold Your Fire, on the other hand, is absolutely scrumptious.
