Sorry for my misuse of the word "wanker."

Hey it's all good everyone has their opinion.

To me Van Halen will always be about the Roth years.

Of course Sammy is on heck of a talented guy.

I'm just not s big fan.

I saw his last tour when they opened with Montrose tunes.

Denny was there. Church.

Everyone but Ronnie of course but Dave Meniketti filled in and stole the show from Sammy.

After that it was all downhill.

A commercial shitty setlist.

I left early.

I will never see Sammy again.

I would love to see Eddie in great form again as the last 2 times I saw him Eddie was a complete shell of himself. Eddie is one of my biggest influences (along with Alex, Gilmore and Page).

But I can't stomach DLR's vocals. He is so bad live. I mean pathetic bad. I won't pay 100 bucks plus for a ticket to that crap. It's embarrassing IMO. He can't even make up for it with his great stage presence from the late 70's and early 80's. That has been gone for decades. He destroys the vibe and sound with grade school level out of tune vocals. I can't even classify his singing as actual rock vocals in the current state his voice is in. He was never even a real lead vocalist IMO even in his heyday. He was a spectacle. The girls loved him. Now he is a bald old fool. eeee god it's just so bad. Creepy bad.

So I will pass. Enjoy the show to those that going.

Inside is the definition of filler.

Isn't ALL of 'Diver Down' Filler?

:tsk:

HAHAHAHAHA!

"DIVER DOWN" KICKS ASS! Some covers but still a great RECORD. Not an EP.

Yup, it sure does

If you think Dave should hang it up now because of his singing voice, than he should have hung it up back in 1980 because DLR WAS NEVER A GOOD LIVE SINGER. That's the one thing about Van Halen I'll agree with Eddie Trunk on. Dave is an amazing showman, but he never was a f***ing Luciano Pavarotti.

Why does Roth do that high pitched yowling? He's starting to sound like Scooby Doo. He never used to do that back in the day. I think it began when he was recording this album:

This I identify is where Roth started his high pitched Scooby dooby doooo yowling.

I didn't even know they were going to be on Jimmy Kimmel last night and happened to see them come on. Wow, Eddie looked to be in super good shape and sounded great. It was fun to see him with Wolfgang. Thank goodness the Van Halen family was carrying the vocals because David Lee Roth was awful, not that he was ever that good but really, it seemed like he was just croaking out the words. His stage presence has morphed into very creepy IMO.

During "Dance The Night Away" he asked a girl to get onstage and dance with him. She said no about 5 times! LOL! He finally had the security guys drag her onstage. Very creepy! In the early 80's every girl in the crowd would have charged the stage for a chance to 'Dance with Dave'.
