that didn't take long :)

almost 8 years on this forum and I still haven't reached 10k

You know, this is all electronic, right. No trees are killed when you post, so feel free to post away!

:hug2:

What if we all were Rush Pen Pals instead of posting here?

I'm a big proponent of the lost art of actual letter writing...but I've found that I've done it seldom enough over the past several years that when I did try to recently, I found it tedious. It made me really sad, that I felt that way.

I think just writing period is becoming a lost art. I sat down and wrote something down the other day that was a couple of paragraphs and it felt so weird.

I know. From when I was in grammar school, I loved writing letters. Had pen pals too in Wales and Japan.

Now, when I attempt to write a letter, I get frustrated. It seems so ponderous to take the time to write. All the while I am thinking how much faster I could type it. Not only that, my handwriting has gone downhill.

tell me about it! I've taken notes and gone back a few days later and have no idea what I wrote. my handwriting is terrible, my signature has become nothing more than a scribble. Once in a while we go to Chilis for lunch and they have the "pay at your table" devices... when it comes time to sign, I literally draw a picture. I've done a TIE Fighter, a snowman, jack-o-lanterns (depends on the time of year we go). It's not like the signature means a damn thing on those POS devices anyway.

I've developed a hand tremor too which doesn't help.

It's scary. My husband is the one that noticed it one morning. I didn't even know my hand was shaking when he asked me "How come your hand is shaking?" Since then I began to take notice of it.

Congratulations...Lorraine...your posts are always full of good desires and challenges to those who would do moral harm.

And 15,000 posts without an is/ought fallacy...that has to be some kind of record...

Excellent!!! Always enjoy your posts Lorraine :rose: I can relate about the writing, it just is sad how much nice stationary I have that just sits. I too had a pen pal in the U.K. when I was in high school, but when she passed away in the 80's that was the end of my major letter writing days. Only time I write is in my journal and that is becoming far more sporadic than I'd like :sigh:

Congrats my friend :ebert: :cheerleader: :yay:
