Cygnus has musical moments...the intro in paticular...but a song about using compass points to fly to a black hole in a rocket named after a horse...only to be torn apaaaaaaart?  Erm...

I don't see the problem.  The pilot is using compass points in the same way anyone would -
Anyone except an astronaut.

An astronaut who is singing to a non-technical audience and doesn't want to use technical navigation terms because that would be snotty.  So he's talking about looking outside the cockpit and hey, there's Lyra over there on the port side, or if you want to get "technical," in sector G-7.87.44 or whateverthefuck.  I'm no astronaut.
He sets a course by looking out the window?  No wonder he got sucked in.

Of course - he wants to get sucked in.  He is headed for the heart of cygnus, after all - headlong into mystery.  If that`s his plan, I`d say he did a fine job navigating.

It`s possible this discussion may become a kind of black hole if we`re not careful. :)

I do enjoy getting drawn into the song, though.

2112. The title track is one of my favorites, but I could take or leave the rest of the album.

It's been too long without people being reminded that Hemispheres will always win.
