  1. 1. Cygnus X-1 vs The Necromancer

Cygnus X-1 is my absolute favorite Rush song of all time. Period. .

Necromancer doesn't come close, like, at all.

Cygnus X-1, and I say that as a bass player who has always loved playing it. :D

Both are fantastic tunes, but I give the edge to Cygnus for the rhythm section, yes. Equally fun to play on the drums.

I absolutely love The Necromancer. I absolutely love Cygnus X1. But, I prefer The Necromancer. Blown away by the fretwork of Lerxst.

Necromancer easily.

Cygnux X-1 sounds like Spinal Tap. All you need for the show is dancing midgets falling into black holes. Cheesy beyond Velveeta.

Neil has been quoted that he detests Cygnus X-1.

That's just ridiculous to compare it to Spinal Tap lol. And Neil has been quoted as detesting a lot of great Rush songs, he has awful taste in Rush

Yeah, sorry Neil, but I'd rather hear Cygnus than a whole lot of the stuff that was written after you think the "real" Rush was born . . .
