The two maybe most successful albums Rush have ever made.... which one is the best one? Permanent Waves or Moving Pictures?

I think this is a really hard one.... but I think I will go for Permanent Waves, because of Natural Science and Freewill.

Moving Pictures transcends the Rush fan base. Like a lot of "classic" albums, I never ever get bored by it. Side one - is it the greatest ever?

I love both dearly,  but Moving Pictures gets my vote because…well, because…I don't know.  It just does.

This is so tough for me. I have to give the nod to Permanent Waves, but both albums are absolutely phenomenal.

Moving Pictures, though it's pretty close. Apart from Natural Science, the songs on Moving Pictures stick with me more.

PeW by the slimmest of margins. Natural Science is my all time favorite Rush song, so I've got to go with Waves.

Maybe SJG can tell me what was going on in my life to make it so.

It is more perfect.  I don't think I like it better, but I can admit that it is their all-around most perfect effort.

Permanent Waves, and it's actually not that close for me lol. Permanent Waves is #3 on my list and MP is like...#11 or 12. Still a great album of course

Yeah, I voted for Permanent Waves, but it was in no was a diss of Moving Pictures. The edge PW has for me is very small.

Virtually even for me, I'll give Waves the nod though. I'd rather listen to Freewill, Entre Nous and Natural Science over Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta and Limelight.

Whatever the result, these two albums are the absolute peak.
