Principled Man
Klipsch Reference Powered 12" Subwooferhttp://images.klipsch.com/R-12SW-Angle_635391310877790000_medium.jpg 200 watts continuous power, 400 watts peak power. It easily surpasses my old Polk 100w sub. I now have full, clean, powerful bass through the entire viewing/listening area (and beyond). Not bad for Klipsch's "low-end" product line.....

Principled Man
Put in the "Gravity" blu-ray, but Ma couldn't take the heart-stopping drama. I had to shut it down...... Gotta wait an entire month before Interstellar arrives. The house's foundation is already afraid.....

And then there's the professional level subwoofers for cinemas.....ya don't want to stand too close..... :o :o

I really don't know much about subwoofers but I do know the pair of Klipsch bookself speakers I recently bought for my vinyl listening set up sound damn good. All thanks go to my son for helping guide me in their selection. Very affordable good sound... :)
