RUSHHEAD666
Sorry guys and gals! One more before bed! I absolutely love NEW ORDER!I remember falling for a girl I couldn't have. She introduced me to New Order back in the late Eighties.I was Peter HOOKED on her, but she had a boyfriend.Young lust sucks, but perhaps it could have led to love.Instead it lead to a cold shower and countless listenings to New Order albums. "Power, Corruption And Lies" says it all. Every fukking Monday is a "Blue Monday." Well 25 years later here I sit. Late night. Typing on a fuckingg public forum when I should be in bed. Holding my wife. My soul mate. My partner. My lover. My friend. My everything. Well? Power Corruption And Lies rings a brighter bell. Single in a marriage. Fooled again. Now I feel like an 22 year old. Listening to old New Order albums. Listening to Pet Shop Boys.Feeling alone. Feeling sad. Wanting to find love. I thought it was right in front of me all along. She's gone, yet still in the same bed. "Shellshocked." "Bizarre Love Triangle?" Not quite. Luckily I have a "Brotherhood" on the Rush Forum. There are some great females on here as well! I will never grow up which is sad. My wife's name is Wendy. I'm Peter Pan. Music keeps me young at heart. I walk four miles a day ROD! I can't run like you but I am getting in shape! New Order is a great fuckking band. I love Joy Division too. The song "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is hitting me right between the eyes! It's amazing being a drummer how I just paid attention to the music over the decades and never the lyrics. There are millions of songs about heartbreak and sadness. I remember playing "Ghost Of A Chance" at my wedding. I thought I was going to be with Wendy Forever. Now everything could just be a Cheech And Chong Movie. UP IN SMOKE!!!!!
H. P. L.
Hey Earl! Now is this you saddest post evah! I love Perfect Kiss!! I also love the video to death.I remember it was the early 80s, I was a total virgin of anything that wasn't top 10, and then one night this video came up on our proto-Mtv of those days... These serious, emotionless faces, the menacing vibe, the sinister atmosphere, the fact that it was all faces... It scared me, haunted me, picked my curiosity and surely jump-started me in a new path of discovery of music.I even used it in my classes.

Hatchetaxe&saw
I'm a Joy Division guy. Watched the documentary over the weekend, so had to dig out the vinyl. God, that throbbing bassline on Transmission, so simple, yet devastating.

Yet not many know of them.Helped me at times, no one comes close to their lyrics. No one.
