Is this it? Could the LA Forum be Rush's last live performance? Whether other legs are planned... or at this point, just truly unknown to Geddy, Alex and Neil. There is no guarantee of anything after the August 1st show. The only guarantee we have is that the Los Angeles show is the last scheduled show. What do you think?

I gave my vote to the "No... After the R40 (current leg) they will record more and tour more" option.

I'll let the dust layer on my cyanide capsules box thicken for a while.

I honestly hope that it will at least be 'No...There will be a R40 Europe/World leg...and then they're done' so I can see them one more time.

But I hope that they will tour and record more but I wouldn't blame them if they don't want to tour. I think that it's likely that they'll record more music because it keeps them close to their families and they won't have to travel so much. And they're still doing what they love.

I can tell you with a fair amount of certainty that there won't be a European leg of the R40 tour.

However, there is still a Ghost of a Chance there will be some overseas shows... just in the other direction.

With that being said, I do believe Geddy wants to record another RUSH album. Convincing Lerxst and Pratt will be the difficult part.

Touring in the future won't look anything like what we're used to *if* it even happens. There will be no more huge productions and what are already scaled down tours will be even shorter.

I voted for LA being the last R40 show, then on to new writing and a tour to follow that. Just a feeling I have, perhaps driven by wishful thinking... :) Maybe with so much of their equipment in LA, they just leave it there and that's where they record the next album. Besides, why dig up 1,500 year old trees to build a drum set to just use it for 34 shows? Neil's more environmentally conscious than that!

I voted "no" but there will be a second North American leg of R40. However, I think it will be a very short leg, possibly just a few shows added to this leg. Alex hinted in an interview that they are still working out a few details. I have an inkling that they will make Cleveland their last stop. The clue will be that at the end of the show Geddy will NOT say "see you down the road again sometime!" This is just my guess. I'm not happy about it, but all the signs are there that they're ready to retire, and that they wish to do it without any fanfare.

If there is anything we know about this band, it is that they are often completely different than others.

Some long time bands just don't seem to be able to hang it up. The Who are saying the 2015 tour is their last (but we have heard that song before... and I have a hard time swallowing the idea that it is actually The Who without Keith Moon *and* John Entwistle). The Rolling Stones keep on playing from time to time. AC/DC is touring again this year, but with only one original member.

But, again, Rush is different, I can indeed see them saying this is it. But, as I have said before, I see this as the end of Rush as we have known them (recording full length albums and big, grand tours). Sure, I think they could record a little here and there, even all three together as Rush. I can even see them playing a few, very scaled down and small venue shows (that come with much lower expectations). .

I also think they are perfectionists and they would struggle with the idea of going on the road without having extensively warmed up, or playing to a large (10,000 or so) crowd without their bag of visual tricks. That's why I don't see them recording anything extensive (that would come with the expectation of a tour) or agreeing to any sort of arena tour. No, instead, I see the potential for an EP or two (Alex has spoken of the demise of the full length album as a form before, so an EP makes some sense) and a few small gigs.

I do think Alex and Geddy will have other projects. I think Neil will play, too, but in some other forms of music.

Of course, all we, including me, are all really doing is guessing. I could be wrong. They could suddenly announce a second North American leg, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. But I just doubt that will happen. And the real truth of the matter is I think many of us have all realized that this could indeed be it and have taken a moment to reflect on how blessed we were to have this run, particularly the post-hiatus run, to enjoy.

So East Asia and/or Oceania? That makes sense. It would give them a reason to play Tai Shan and not get booed off stage!

Sorry to be such a downer, but I think it's time for them to hang it up after this tour. I've been following this band for a long time and I just feel like this is the time. I feel sorry for fans that just began to love this band the past 10 yrs or so. If they do continue on, I don't think you'll ever see them in a huge arena again with huge production. This tour, I'm taking my 12 year old son to a show. Its gonna be great to have him there with me. He's grown up with Rush pushed down his throat.

As far as more shows here in USA or across the pond, I just don't see it. Geddy's voice just can't hold up anymore. Not that it can't hold up, he just struggles singing the older tunes.

I understand what you're saying. As much as I hate to say it I think you're right. I can see maybe doing another album, but as far as touring I think this should be it. It's the perfect time. No other rock bands have done what they have done, so they should stop while they're ahead.

It's the last 'RUSH' tour, they've hinted enough to read as such.

One-offs in Toronto, LA, and NYC? Possible. Headlining a festival here and there? Maybe.

Extensive worldwide or even continent-wide tours?

This is it.

The boys are bucking 60 plus.

They're not going to fade into casino circuits nor milk cash cows.

A graceful, quite exit from the scene would be JUST like them.

It seems the early trend (only 35 votes) among TRF fans is either this is actually it, with the LA Forum show being their last live performance...or maybe the more reasonable vote of the scheduled shows are it for the R40 Tour, but more recording and touring to come later.

It's really hard to tell with this band...we know they are winding down, but how do they officially bow out. I believe they may want to end it with no elaboration or fanfare farewell...just quietly imply, with this small tour...that we are done touring.

RUSH has always done things a little different than most bands....so dragging on the inevitable, impending end (like most other bands) may not be their style. I'm just guessing, like the rest of us....and hoping they do a 2nd North America leg...and come to San Diego.

I think we won't know if it's their last show until the tour actually starts and we start hearing more of what they're saying about it.

In 1982, when i was a teenager the Rolling Stones were on Tour, and many poeple were sure this would be the last chance to see the band. Even the newspaper in these days told this. Well, we have now 2015 and they still on the road. :D But i think too, Rush will make a silence farewell, not like other band who tell "this is the end, that is our last tour, and then they are for another 10 years on farewell. I guess, this is the last tour, and i don't think they come to europe. On the other hand i think, they will make another record. And then, there is a little chance for another tour.
