http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/02/01/report-falcons-alleged-to-have-piped-in-crowd-noise-nfl-discipline-expected/

Did the Falcons use canned crowd noise to make the Georgia Dome louder as opposing teams were on offense?

According to a broadcast report, the Falcons are alleged to have done so — and now could face NFL discipline.

On ESPN’s Postseason NFL Countdown, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Falcons are alleged to have played “artificial” crowd noise as the opposition had the ball in 2013 and 2014. It’s unclear what specific games the allegations span.

According to Schefter, the Falcons’ alleged actions are “expected” to result in NFL discipline, including a fine and even the potential loss of a draft pick for the practice.

The Falcons have cooperated with the NFL’s investigation, the team told ESPN.

According to the report, the Falcons’ game operations department is alleged to have “originated” the noise plan.

The focus now turns to the league’s findings. If the crowd noise allegations are proven and considered a violation of game integrity by the NFL, the Falcons would not figure to get off easily or quietly, given the climate.

The Clowns announced a new head coach today, former Seahawks's DC Dan Quinn's first task was to strongly deny that fake applause was piped into the press conference...

As long as he doesn't deny a rumor that he left at the beginning of the fourth quarter I think the Falcon fan will be pleased with the hire.

There's a rumour that there's two Falcons fans, Samuel L Jackson and whoever he has a gun pointed at at the time.

Falcons expect to learn #NoiseGate fate soon

In 2013 and 2014, the Falcons used artificial crowd noise at the Georgia Dome; owner Arthur Blank essentially admitted it earlier this month. So now the question become what the penalty will be.

Appearing on Thursday’s edition of PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio, Falcons G.M. Thomas Dimitroff said that the team expects to learn its fate soon.

While he declined to divulge details regarding whether it was the result of a rogue employee or a collaboration, Dimitroff reiterated that the situation did not occur at the behest or with knowledge of football operations. It’s a stadium operations issue, and that’s not something the G.M. or coach handle.

But the G.M. and coach may have to deal with the consequences, especially if the team loses one or more draft picks because of the situation. Don’t be shocked if it’s a significant penalty; fake crowd noise directly interferes with the ability of the opponent to run its offense. As cheating goes, that’s a fairly blatant violation, and a pretty big deal.

Browns, Falcons punishments to be announced soon

Posted by Mike Florio on March 25, 2015, 8:06 PM EDT

It’s been known for weeks that the Browns and Falcons violated league rules via sending in-game texts to the coaching staff and using artificial crowd noise, respectively. By next week, the punishments will be known publicly.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that both teams were informed during the league meetings that the discipline is expected to be announced next week. Per Schefter, the teams already have been privately informed of the looming punishment. One source told him the discipline for both teams is expected to be “severe.”

At the Scouting Combine last month, there was talk of the Falcons losing a second- or third-round pick for using artificial crowd noise in 2013 and 2014. The Browns reportedly are bracing for a multi-game fine for G.M. Ray Farmer, possibly along with the loss of one or more draft picks.

The Browns punishment is that they have to have Johnny Football take a majority of the team's snaps at QB this year.

The Falcons punishment is that they have to sign Trent Richardson and give him 100 carries.

Sadly Goodell isn't as wise as this.
