I'm moving mountains...and pictures to attend this one! Gonna fly a long way to check the boys for the 3rd time!

Due to budgetary (bad exchange rates) and work constrains I can't make any other dates, but since I got a killer deal with Delta Airlines I won't miss that.

BTW, how is the access to this venue? Can one easily go from downtown Atlanta to Alpharetta and back? By "easily" I mean without renting car...

I suppose you could get a cab. Alpharetta is about 25 miles from downtown Atlanta.

It's straight up GA400. You can take the Marta train up the red line from the airport as far as the North Springs station. According to Google that's only 10 miles from the venue. Round trip at Marta is like $5 so that shaves a fair bit off a cab if you're willing to take one from there to the show.

Nice, that's an idea! Thanks

I'm in for a meetup ... got a ticket in the Pit (via the VIP ticket route ... OUCH!), so looking forward to it!

Did that last time they were here (the girlfriend at the time paid for the tickets, WHEW). you're in for a great show! Out of curiosity, did they let you know your exact seat at the time of purchase?

Strangely enough, yes ... last tour (I did not do VIP last tour) folks did not find out their seat until they showed up for the show, but by ticket will be mailed to me long before the show date. The bad thing is, the VIP tickets are going REALLY fast compared to last tour because -- the tickets can be re-sold! Last tour you had to go to the venue and show your ID to get your ticket, not so this time.

NO. Traffic is an absolute nightmare on GA400 in during rush hour. You really need to be at your hotel or restaurant in Alpharetta at around 2 or 3 in the afternoon, because traffic will be at a standstill guaranteed. Just google map traffic in this area this afternoon if you want to see what it's like.

Ooh.. you are right there, I wasn't considering that. Marta would get you closer but you will want to get there more than a few hours before the show. Exit 12 especially is usually bumper to bumper.. wasn't even thinking about that. Good call.

That is bad.. I do understand why resale is a good thing to have when making such a big purchase, it's good to have the option to back out. But still.. online scalpers will buy those up in a heartbeat. Good that you know your seats ahead of time though. Last time we got 3rd row right in front of Ged which was an awesome surprise, but it would have been nice to know in advance.

My daughter and I will be there! We should arrange a meet up at Miller's Ale House again. That place worked out pretty good last tour.

Excellent place for pre-concert drinks and dinner. We will go there again.

Got my ticket for Atlanta....

Me too! After my experience today searching for tickets in the general sale, I am very glad I did the VIP pre-sale! Sucks to pay that much, but I think those of us who had pre-sale tickets go on sale last week (the first set to go onsale) were very fortunate. ONce word got out that VIP pre-sales through ticket master would be re-sellable, the re-sellers came out in force for this week's VIP sales. Most seemed to sell out in 10 minutes or so, where the last couple tours VIP tickets remained available for weeks after they went onsale because (1) you were only guaranteed the first 15 rows, not a specific seat, and (2) the tickets were not re-sellable because you had to present ID at will call to pick them up and then they escorted you inside.

I don't think the new method is a good thing, because the majority of tickets were likely bought by people with no intent to attend the show. I hope the leaches get stuck with those tickets that they are now selling for 5-10 times what was paid for them.

I just got the best ticket available that popped up. Don't need angst and complications where there need not be any. 125.00 seems reasonable for a decent seat and I am sure I will have a great time.... :codger:

At least you're in the middle. Man, I hope your arm is better by then. I'd hate for you to have to deal with that cast in the heat.

I was at the show last time they played the ampitheater. It was colder than crap. At least this is in the middle of summer. Wish I could make it to this show but I'm already going to two others. That's already insane. :D

After 5 Rush shows with friends and family, I've decided to hit up this show alone and experience it like that. Can't wait!! I'm a few seats away from being dead center in the whole place and usually I'm to the side (although 3rd row wasn't anything to fuss about) so I'm glad to see it right at the middle this time. No pillars in the way!

Looking forward to a preshow meetup to get a chance to chat with some of you guys!
