Now that we got the R40 Tour, how about Feedback 2?

Feedback has only two tracks I care about: The Seeker and Summertime Blues. I picked it up from the pile of "rarely heard CDs" the other day and decided to include them in my mp3. I can´t see them doing a part II.

The interesting thing for me about the feedback II idea is that they would mostly likely cover their Prog influences. It would be interesting.

Also remember that they'd be able to rip this off in a very short time where as an original album would take at least a year for them to make. They could even package it along with a new original album.

Geddy playing "Roundabout" by Yes, and maybe something like "Watcher of the Skies" by Genesis? I'll take it!

This reminds me of a topic I started in October:

Colbert asked them if they are ever influenced by themselves by the time the get to the end of one of their longs songs.. Maybe they could cover Xanadu or Hemispheres!

Unfortunately not even Geddy Lee can sound like Geddy Lee though :/

Ew, no.

The R30 live version of Crossroads is the only redeeming aspect of Feedback.

I live Rush as much as anyone, but just as much as I cringe when I hear a band try to cover one of their songs, I got a similar feeling with most of Feedback.

It just goes to show ya. It's all been done. I'm going to read your original thread so I can maybe find some answers that I didn't find in mine . . .

In recent years it seems to me like they feel that their "prog" era isn't something they want to revisit. I wish they would though. Edited by EagleMoon

Maybe . . . although . . . they did release a concept album with lots of longer tunes that sort of have different kinds of moods in them. Not as proggy as serious prog, but at least quasi-proggy?
