People think I'm nuts but I think there are similarities between New World Man and Every Breath You Take.

I think I know what it is that makes you hear similarities - it's that guitar (or is it the bass) plucking?

I voted Good because it is like good . and I didn't vote bad because it is the last Rush album with all good songs . and its not High -NRG or worse then Cluckwork Angles and going to be played in it entirety on the next tour.

The tail end of their "Golden" period.

Are we talking about Presto again?

The tail end of their "Golden" period.

This is an accurate statement.

Indeed

Regardless of all of our personal preferences, it cannot be argued that the sun rose and set on the bands most successful and creative period sometime between 1976-1982

Signals does fit in more with MP and PeW than with GUP and PoW. I always saw the tiers this way...

Rush

Fly by Night

Caress of Steel

2112

A Farewell to Kings

Hemispheres

Permanent Waves

Moving Pictures

Signals

Grace Under Pressure

Power Windows

Hold Your Fire

Presto

Roll the Bones

Counterparts

Test For Echo

The rest

Agree completely - I see the tiers the same... never thought Signals belonged in the "synth era."
