Got Strutter down now & have moved on to Kiss - Cold Gin.

Detroit Rock City and Shock Me are some of Kiss's finest!

Another one I really like that's very overlooked is Into The Void, Frehley's last real song with the band.

I used to play tons of Kiss stuff when I first started but haven't bothered for years. I'm now going back & re-learning them & it's great fun.

That is pretty much an A chord...

I suggest "I Want You" or "Love 'Em, Leave 'Em" from Rock And Rollover.

I've been really into this weird B side from The Fixx lately.

At first I was disappointed it never really rocks out with snare and etc but the more it grows on me I think they got it just right.

The Fixx is so underrated, especially the Walkabout/Calm Animals and Ink periods. One of the best bans that came out of the 80's no question.

The came back in a big way a few years back but no one seemed to care. Whatever. Sometimes people are just near sighted.

I'm giving Whitesnake's "Fool For Your Loving" a workout now. The Moody/Marsden version.

It's good fun. The riff is really just Deep Purple's "Burn" done a different way & there's some lovely phrased blues-rock licks in the solo.

Secret Separation came through my iTunes the other day.

I saw the Fixx at a "Day on the Green" in Oakland opening for the Police in 1983. Also. On the bill were Thompson Twins, Madness and Oingo Boingo. It was hosted by Alan Hunter from MTV. Anyway, the Fixx only had one album out but they were so good the ovation was intense. They had no song for an encore so they played One Thing Leads To Another a second time. It was cool and everybody went nuts.

I've been playing with some friends and we've been jamming on all kinds of cool stuff. Some of what we've been playing:

Talk To Ya Later (Tubes)

Jenny Jenny (Tommy Tutone)

Bloody Well Right (Supertramp)

Sole Survivor (Asia)

Heat of the Moment (Asia)

All of my love (Led Zeppelin)

On The Loose (Saga)

Boys Of Summer (Don Henley)

Highway Star (Deep Purple)

Band On The Run (Paul McCartney)

Just to name a few...

Oh yell yeah! Driven Out, Two Different Views, Subterranean, Fatal Shore..

The Fixx are way more than just One Thing Leads to Another (though that song is awesome, no doubt).

I like to choose about 5 Songs to warm up with on my Roland TD 20 that cover a broad spectrum .

Currently:

War Paint or Presto (Rush)

Seven Days or Something a boy said (Sting)

Secret Journey (Police)

Bring me down (Days of the new)

Second Chance (Shinedown)

I like to try and learn a new song every week or two. Butchering Dire Straits' Sultans of Swing this week. It's not going well so far, and I'm sure Mark Knopfler is wondering why his ears have been hurting all week, but I'm having a lot of fun.

I usually warm up with a couple of Rush songs ... Limelight, Dreamline, YYZ, Spirit of Radio. La Villa Striangato, if I'm really feeling masochistic.
