Permanent Waves is the clear choice IMO. Every song tackles at least one heavyweight metaphysical idea. And Natural Science...the king of intellectual songs :smoke: Edited by Geddy's Soul Patch

Except for tracks four and five...

Maybe less so than the others, but both are still pretty damn deep! Just look at the effect Entre Nous had on Corgan

And three...I don't know. Jacob's Ladder is about storms...

I'm changing my vote to Moving Pictures.

Moving Pictures tackles individuality,

Permanent Waves is the clear choice IMO. Every song tackles at least one heavyweight metaphysical idea.

Except for tracks four and five...

And three...I don't know. Jacob's Ladder is about storms...

Or is it...? :smoke:

I'm changing my vote to Moving Pictures.

Now that I think about it, Moving Pictures and Power Windows are the only real contenders.

Signals has great strength because of The Weapon and it's overall themes of technology and society...but it also has Chemistry...

Every track on Moving Pictures has something strong to say.

Now you've got me thinking about Power Windows...I may have to change my vote. Although Marathon isn't the strongest of metaphors.

Go the easy route and pick Snakes and Arrows.

Go easy on poor Snakes...it might have precious little but it's still precious!

I vote for Permanent Waves by a hair. All of the albums have at least a couple of "deep" songs. Power Windows has some more serious songs about world issues.

Lyrically there are quite a few "intellectual" songs scattered throughout the entire catalog but I think that PW has a higher percentage per the whole album. I think that Natural Science is on the whole musically and lyrically the most "intellectual" song in the entire canon of material. Edited by The Omega Concern

Presto.....

Was obviously kidding with this one. I went with Permanent Waves with my favorite studio work AFTK a very close second....
