Proposals to make Ticketmaster more transparent.

I'll go first, then y'all make a proposal.

First, if a band is working with Ticketmaster to sell certain seat for their fan club, then bid those seats, first. Then have a separate bidding for the rest.

At any rate, there should first be an interactive map , showing the seats to be bid on, and , conversely, which ones are off limits, for whatever reason.

Most people are already registered with TM, and they have their credit card in the system. I would take it a step further and assign a unique TM ID to the users profile and maybe grab some more Identification information. I might would even consider allowing the user to make a profile of the spouse and children who may frequently attend.

So, the concert is annnounced, and the on sale date is approaching and the arena is named. The user should be allowed up to 4 tickets. If they want more another credit card has to be used. You type in the most money you would pay for a seat and multiply by the number of tickets. The number you type must be an amount actually in the account and that amount will be put on hold. So, if you're willing to pay $400 for 4 seats, you type in $1600.

So, the day comes and the on sale goes in effect. At this point the webpage should be interactive. So, you bid $1600 and you got 4 front row seats. Confirm? Yes. Or, you got seats on row 5. Confirm ? Yes. Or, you got seats on row 10, but the next highest bid was $101, per seat, so the total is $408. Confirm? Yes. The cheap asses will still be in the back.

Here is my catch: You or a registered member of ticketmaster must attend the show, or you must sell the tickets online to genuine registered ticketmaster users and they must attend the show. Also, if you sell your tickets, you only get 2 next time. If yyou sell again, in a successive show, you get 1. This would ensure that genuine users bid and go to the show.

As far as Slack Jaw talking about millionaires buying entire sections as part of other deals, you can't stop that.

No, I'm a capitalist. I'm trying to figure out a way that everyone can make a bid on the seats. If the front row seat sells for $1000, at least you had a chance to bid

Start a company and sell the idea to the arenas of the world.

Hey dude, you mad? If I pissed you off, please let me know, and I will apologize .

Slack jaw you are one angry guy. Guess what - the system is broken. Whether you in your super apologist way want to admit it. Just because others have opinions, doesn't make them right, but it certainly doesn't make you right. Quit with this capitalist vs socialist crap. It has nothing to do with the original issues that I and others have posted. Believe me I understand capitalism and business.

No. Displeasure with the status quo is the genesis of many businesses.

Seriously? You're the one complaining and calling a clearly legitimate business "criminal", and I don't particularly see anything wrong with it.
