I did this already but having played MP like maybe a month ago.

1. Red Barchetta

2. Camera Eye

3. YYZ

4. Limelight

5. Tom Sawyer

6. Vital Signs

7. Witch Hunt.

i'll say what i've always said, lol.

it's 8/10. i can't go perfect in good conscious. The album just ends with a whimper for me. as classic as it is.

that's just what i hear.

I can tell you this... I was never a big fan of Witch Hunt (Donald Trump's new theme song) or Vital Signs back in the day. But I have a new found respect for them because they are not easy songs to play live. We just decided to do the full Moving Pictures album for our shows and they are surprisingly hard to pull off. Not sure if its because we are just learning them and have played the others for years or not but they are taking some work. Never-the-less they are still down on the rankings because the rest of the album is so good. ALL of the MP's songs are super fun to play.

1. Red Barchetta

2. Tom Sawyer

3. Camera Eye

4. YYZ

5. Limelight

6. Vital Signs

7. Witch Hunt.

To me, MP is as close to perfection as can be. If something as excellent as Limelight can be ranked as my least favourite, they must be doing something right.

Attempting to be objective:

1. Limelight

2. Tom Sawyer

3. Red Barchetta

4. YYZ

5. The Camera Eye

6. Vital Signs

7. Witchhunt

No attempt at objectivity (IOW, like it all but from what I like most):

1. Red Barchetta

2. Limelight

3. Vital Signs

4. The Camera Eye

5. Tom Sawyer

6. Witchhunt

7. YYZ

1. Red Barchetta - the greatest song on the planet 10/10

2. Limelight 9.5/10

3. YYZ 9.5/10

4. Tom Sawyer 9.5/10

5. Vital Signs 8/10

6. The Camera Eye 7/10

7. Witch Hunt 4/10

2-4 are virtually interchangeable for me. Witch Hunt is the song that keeps it as my 2nd fav album behind Permanent Waves. It’s a song that just doesn’t do much for me

That's my ranking for now anyway. I admit Limelight and TS would probably be higher if they weren't played to death on the radio.

9/10, and my favorite Rush album.

So you are on a Rush message board and your favorite album by the band is 9/10? Why not a 10?

Maybe Rush isn't his favorite band.
