Please. Any acoustic that is not a Martin is not worth any price.

There was a video on youtube of him talking about how they developed this guitar. Not sure if it's still up there. Might have been around NAMM time.

This one? (at 2:29 - 3:17)

And, also, he discusses it here during his visit to the store in Japan:

Has anybody been keeping up with the Twitter feed for http://www.loucinguitars.com Loucin Guitar Company? They are building a custom guitar for Alex, and have been updating the process each day. My favorite post so far:

How cool is ALEX LIFESON? I asked about inlay ideas "Let's inlay my mom's name @ 12th fret, on a guitar named after your mom"

Right, it was both of those. I guess I was thinking it was one video. Looks like a really nice guitar and perfect for what he needs it for. But very overpriced IMO.

"This week on Blowing Alex Lifeson..."

It sounds like the Epiphone John Lennon model which is also very dense for an acoustic. The Epiphone can be had for less than a grand ($500 maybe) and John Lennon is a hair more famous than Al.

:D

Seriously though... for those who can purchase this guitar, I'm sure it is heaven to play. Alex puts a lot of time, energy and love into his guitars.

No guitar made this century is worth $9000. Period. End of story. Anyone buying this guitar is a fanboy with more money than brains. PRS are sucking Alex to cash in on his popularity which is at a particularly heightened state these days.

The thing is there are morons that will buy this thing. There is no reason to buy this guitar if Alex Lifeson's name weren't on it. Also he has yet to even play this model on an album or live. At least the Alex Lifeson Les Pauls he played on tour before they were marketed, and those are at least reasonably priced when compared to a stock Les Paul. Seems more like PRS are using Alex to launch an acoustic line which is new territory for them.
