Sorry guys I'm on a Lyle kick. This song is the first cut from "it's not big it's Large". Cool thing about the CD. When I bought it from WM, it contained a documentary on the making of the record. Got it for $10

Here's a real toe tapper. Sherry she had big ones. Sally had some too. Allison had little ones and would hate to go to school

Check out this song. Artist is Townes Van Zant. Considered a Texas treasure

Listen to Lyle elevate these beautiful lyrics. IMO, akin to how Hendrix made All Along the Watchtower something special. It's like the song was meant for him to sing

I love the music on this one. So haunting.

Day's full of rain

Sky's coming down again

I get so tired

Of these same old blues

Same old song

Baby it won't be long

'Fore I'll be tying on

My flyin' shoes

Flyin' shoes

'Til I'll be tying on

My flyin' shoes

Spring only sighed

Summer had to be satisfied

Fall is a feeling

That I just can't lose

I'd like to stay

Maybe watch a winter day

Turn the green water

To white and blue

Flyin' shoes

Flyin' shoes

'Til I'll be tying on

My flyin' shoes

The mountain moon

Forever sets too soon

Being alone

Is all the hills can do

Alone and then

Her silver sails again

And they will follow in

Their flyin' shoes

Flyin' shoes

And they will follow in

Just listened to the first two albums ("Lyle Lovett" and "Pontiac") which are quite nice listens with some now classic gems on them.

I'm currently listening to the third album, "Lyle Lovett and His Large Band", and this is where Lyle comes into his own.

You can hear his confidence and his personality shine though.
