EagleMoon
My favorite character was Robin himself, on stage, in his element, doing his thing. It was like watching magic happen right in front of you. He was quite a character in his own right.
anima
I would pick Adrian Cronauer any time. After that, either Mr Keating or Mrs Doubtfire but they're so different it is hard to choose. It's a much smaller part but he was also good as the doctor in Awakenings - he did a perfect imitation of Oliver Sacks (the author of the book, though I think his name was changed in the film). Fordgalaxy
So many to choose from but I'm surprised no one has picked Patch Adams. I know the critics didn't like it much and too many people let critics influence their "tastes" but I really liked that move. I also really liked him in Awakenings. JohnnyBlaze
I like him in "Toys" from 1992. Wasn't a box office smash but I like the film. I think his first or one of his first films was "The World According to Garp" from 1982 which came out right after Mork and Mindy was cancelled.Yeah, not first but one of the first. Popeye came out a couple of years before Garp. Then there was another film (I forgot the name) that he did before Popeye.

Popeye was relased in 1980, with Williams in his first leading role.
