hello,

i am the proud owner of a fender jazz bass geddy lee made in japan.

everybody noticed the recent modification on geddy's main bass i.e. new neck and new pickguard.

i want to change my plain white pickguard to a new pearloid like this one : http://www.notreble.com/buzz/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Fender-Limited-Geddy-Lee-1972-Jazz-Bass-body.jpg

i found a dealer who specially make pickguard for the geddy lee model.

three "pearl" models are offered. which one is the closest to geddy's in your opinion ?

- white pearl : http://www.wdmusic.c...d_jbgl_328.html

- aged pearl : http://www.wdmusic.c..._jbgl_328a.html

- cream pearl : http://www.wdmusic.c..._jbgl_328c.html

any help will be appreciated.

p.s. i know i'm crazy.

Be careful ordering from WD Music. I've heard of people getting them and they were cut poorly. Usually leaving a gap between the control plate and the guard.

I know the Geddy pickguards aren't the same as the MIA or MIM Standards. I've had four different Geddy Lee basses over the years but never bought a different pickguard for the ones I had although I did play it for a while without the pickguard and it looked cool. This place gets good reviews...

You're welcome. If you order one, post a pic when you get it on. :)
