I think he started the thread to irk Sheldon.

And there was a lot of collateral damage. Can you imagine going to see Rush and only 20 people who loved Counterparts showed up?

It might be a good concert. I'd love to be one of only twenty people at a Rush concert. Wouldn't you? No matter what they sang. Even if they sang the doggy song for three hours.

And if they sung Virtuality for three hours the 20 of us could storm the stage and have a talk with them.

Even written down set 2 makes me shudder. Longest bathroom break ever, lol

Set 1 and the end of the show would be great though.

Moved to Tour forum.

Aside from Moving Pictures, IMO the only other album that deserves the "played in its entirety" treatment -- and that Geddy still has a shot at singing -- is Permanent Waves.

Hemispheres would be my other choice, but Geddy's voice couldn't handle it unless they tuned down drastically (which IMO didn't work too well on "Circumstances" a couple of tours ago).

Permanent Waves is definitely the Way to go. Fans have been clambering for Jacob's Ladder and Different Strings for years.

The other album that Geddy could do and would go over very well is Signals. Losing It has to be done at some point and The Weapon is just too cool and well received. Other than Countdown which is good but I could take or leave, I think this would go over well.

But every tour they do three out of the six songs on Permanent Waves. Isn't it time for something different?

Not that I am advocating hearing Counterparts. Although I must say that knowing only twenty people would show up for the concert makes it very appealing to me.

It is time for them to revisit more of their seventies material. Geddy can figure out a way to sing it.

My question is why must a whole album be done. Was never big on that concept.

Mick

Doesn't have to be. I would like to hear the uncommon songs though. Losing It, Jacob's Ladder, Different Strings, The Weapon... stuff like that. I loved it when they opened up S&A (I think) with Limelight, Digital Man, Entre Nous. Go deep. Love it.

How about two songs from each album? Or three?

That would be 38 to 57 songs. It would be kind of a long concert...

So? They can leave out doing anything from Snakes. Happy now?

That would still be about 35 to 54 songs. Their concerts usually have approximately 25 songs.
