Holy crap!

 

Reminds me of the Disney Cruise we took.... the ship was swarmed by "love bugs"

 

Looked a little like this, freaked my daughter out a little bit...

The swarm was so massive, local radar saw it quite clearly as it moved north..... :o

They play an important part of a trout's diet & survival. Along with birds ect.

It's disgusting in a downtown setting and the things are swarming into your nose, eyes and mouth. Not too many trout streams in the 'burbs. At least not where I live - WI might be different!

It's disgusting in a downtown setting and the things are swarming into your nose, eyes and mouth. Not too many trout streams in the 'burbs. At least not where I live - WI might be different!

But it beats that many Mosquitos any day of the week. BTW, which also play an important part of life! :LOL: :7up:

 

Maybe get out of the "Burbs" more often. :P

yeah it's like that here in michigan.... being surrounded by lakes n all... :sigh:

 

I have pictures very similar to yours from last year traveling the west side of the state last 4th of july.

After being HAMMERED this past winter, we had a late, wet spring - hence the reason "mayflies" or shadflies are coming around late to the scene.
