The cheapest, most nutritious food in human history is:

If a McD burger is the cheapest and most nutritious "food" then why does people become fat f*cks by eating it? Doesn't seem highly nutritious to me.

Because they also eat super sized fries and a 32 Coke with it. In terms of calories it seems like value. In terms of what is does to your body over the long run, it's as healthy as cocaine.

But I think we can all agree that the best fast food joint is:

I'm the last person in the world to turn his nose up at fast food... but I will not eat the swill that Taco Bell pumps out.

YUCK.

Great spoof of the Fast Food trend to create Mexican super-foods.

I'm just having a hard time equating nutrition with something that's not good for you. I enjoy McD every now and then but I only feel full until I fart.

I don't enjoy MacD. It's about 25 years since I bought anything there.

I vote for porridge! Properly made, not that instant stuff with weird flavourings.

There are definitely worse ways you could spend $1.19 than on a McDub.

I go to Mcdonalds for two reasons: Either I want their breakfast (I am a slave to a $2 hashbrown & sausage mcmuffin meal), or I hit the $6 combos. I don't really hit value menus anywhere.

I seem to have such a hatred of sodium that I have gone on most fast food websites and looked up the nutrition facts for various items. Fun fact: A lot of the entrees from the "chain casual restaurants" (think Applebee's, Chili's, T.G.I.F's) have a sodium content in excess of 4000-5000mg's.

Ive had good food and terrible food from fast food joints. Burger King used to be pretty good. Same with McDonald's.

They pretty much suck now and I stay away from them.

The dollar menu is tempting though in a pinch.

I would rather have a greasy Krystal burger, though it will be years before i could eat another one.

I ate 5 of them on my trip last month and I almost got sick.

Largely depends on location. Some franchises just seem to care more about "not sucking" than others.

Chick-Fil-A seems to have a pretty good hit rate on "the food should come out piping hot and fresh". The fact it is even semi acceptable to put near-room temperature fries in a to-go order implies the "quality" you get with the drive thru.

Working at Salt Lake City International Airport, the McDonalds there cooked everything to order. Nothing was left "under a heat lamp", or "in a hot drawer" as Mcdonalds usually does it. You'd be surprised how good a big mac is if it's burning your mouth. And I think most of use know that "1 in 10" feeling of getting scolding hot McFries or McNugs. Honestly delicious

If the McDoubles had real cheese in them (Swiss in particular!) then I'd be more inclined to eat these. American "cheese" makes me gag :boo hiss:

But McDonald's cheese has crack in it.

Sometimes other things too. This story came out of my hometown. Makes me proud to be from small town Iowa :sigh:
