THAT guy could act. To all the youngsters who never got to see Rockford Files, you just gotta check 'em out. A step above the rest for its time. Same goes for Maverick.

Gonna miss you Mr. Garner!

Not to sully the thread (well, maybe a bit), is Suzanne Pleshette topless in any of the scenes in this movie? ;)

James Garner is one of my absolute favourites. I grew up watching shows like Maverick and The Rockford Files. He's also been great in films like The Great Escape, Grand Prix, Duel at Diablo, Hour of the Gun, Marlowe, The Skin Game, Fire in the Sky. This is a sad loss.

RIP James :rose:

To add to his many great roles already mentioned, an underrated performance in Murphy's Romance.

Great actor, loved him in Maverick and The Rockford Files.

He was pretty amazing in The Notebook most recently.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Garner.

I remember going to an Angels game in the strike shortened season with my dad the day Maverick came out when I was about 13 and they showed on the jumbotron that he was in the broadcasting booth at the game. I thought that was pretty cool. Condolences to friends and family as well as my mom who has been a fan of his for years.

RIP "Duke" from The Notebook. :rose:

That's a loss.

R.I.P. Mr. Garner :rose:

Besides the great memories I have of him (Rockford and later Maverick), I really love his performance in The Notebook.
