The beautiful garden pictures from goose (in the "Post pictures of you" section), inspired me to make this thread. If something similar on this board already exists, I apologize.

Since I'm a very nosy guy, I'm interested in how it looks like, where you folks live. When I see all the names of the places where people here do come from, I always get the wanderlust...so...let's see...how your garden grows, your streets rot or just how beautiful the surrounding landscape of your home is.

I'll start with an evening mood taken in 2001, from the field just outside my house:

So...this is a winter view from the golf course I live near. The grass is dormant. The mountains are the Sierra Nevada, and just to my right you can see the ski runs of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort. Where I live you can golf and ski on the same day. :)

Just behind my house, looking east

Looking further east, one of our most famous mountains. We call it "Resegone" which means Big Saw because, well, it looks like a big saw. Yeah, I climbed it, it's not that difficult.

It's a 17th century villa alright, the owners live in Milano and come up every now and then. There's a collection of horse carriages (of all things) inside. One of many italian jewels precluded to the people. Maybe for the best.

The tower bell on the left is my morning clock. Wakes me up at 7 every day. It's just right out of my bedroom window.

My house from a few angles and my street. I have gardens around the entire perimeter of my house. I love flowers and bushes of all kinds. Its cool to watch them grow and bloom each year.....

Wow, you people have beautiful houses & yards!

I don't seem to have any photos of our place, at least not post-renovation (it was in crappy shape when we bought it, so I don't want to post photos of construction). But here is our view, looking at downtown San Francisco and the Oakland hills in the distance:

I love our house. Very private, but the commute is a pain in the ass...
