The Cat 3
Hello big brained Rush brothers and sisters. I am having trouble connecting a 2nd Ipod to my ITunes. (It is a nano 7G that I bought for my wife) I keep getting a message that reads, "An Ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the Ipod, then try again." I've done that and updated ITunes an still nothing. I could so use some technical assistance. Thanks so much!
Maverick
I have yet to be able to figure this out, myself. You can ask Google your question and find some answers, but I haven't been able to make any of them work for me. And some of the solutions seem like a huge pain in the ass. Ancient Ways
I've done this before. One thing I remember is you might want to set your iTunes to update to iPod manually or it will try to put all of your songs on both iPods. I had to do this since my wife doesn't need any metal and I don't need any Beyoncé (music, at least).
Lost In Xanadu
I have done it - there is an option somewhere in the menu that says "authorize this device" or something like that. That's all I needed to do
Rushman14
My mac will read any iPod I plug into it. Might be a different story with a PC. Once an iPod is formatted to a MAC you can't plug into a PC...I believe.
Cygnus 2112
I thought it was as easy as plugging an iPod into your computer. At least that's how my computer works.
