QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Aug 24 2004, 08:00 PM)
Vapor Trail is my favorite from this album. My grandmother passed away the day it came out, which was the end of a period of a year and a half when I was experiencing much personal loss (house, girlfriend of 7+ years, dog, teeth, blood, etc). As I followed the lyrics the first time through I actually broke into tears.

Hey dude.... somewhat new to the Forum, and I just read your entry.  Sorry you had such a tough year.  VT stands out to me as one of strongest tracks from the CD and now it has even more meaning.  Thanks for sharing that, bro.

I think I'll go with the Stars Look Down. It was a hard choice though. The entire album was great. One Little Victory and Ghost Rider are also stand outs tracks.

Its taken me a long, long time to get into VT.  I just found the album hard going because of an average production job but its been worth the effort.

Ghost Rider was the first track to jump out at me but, as I've listened, other songs have risen in my estimation: One Little Victory, Ceiling Unlimited, Nocturne, Secret Touch have all got a lot to recommend them.  However, after seeing them at Wembley in September, I've got to give my vote to Earthshine.

The whole LP helped me get through a nasty divorce, but "Out of the Cradle" became my best friend from this one! 1287.gif

I'm not telling which one I picked.  You'll never guess, anyway.

This album is what sealed the deal for me as a fan...reading GR, then listening to VT...  I was a goner.

My vote was for Earthshine, but I'm really into 'Freeze' at the moment. I also like 'Ceiling Unlimited' biggrin.gif

"Secret Touch." A long, intricate, ballsy song. The whole album grew on me, but this song, along with "Earthshine," hit me instantly.

CU has got to be my favorite from the VT album.  It's just an all around good song.
