Tony R
Not actually irony but I wanted to pass on some useless trivia I read recently. And make a weak pun.

RushBoingo
Not sure how good of an example this one is, but I find it great. There is a band called Animal Collective that released an album called Merriweather Post Pavillion, named after the venue of the same name. In preparation for the tour they could not play at the venue because it was so fully booked, it was impossible to fit in to the touring schedule, and god knows they tried their hardest to play a show there. They did not get to play there until 3 years after the album came out, and when they finally get there, they only played two songs out of 11 off the album, their most popular and acclaimed album they released. x1yyz
A band called Nirvana played some of the most depressing songs I've ever heard. Ditto Joy Division. The name Joy Division came from the name of the section of the Nazi concentration camps that housed female prisoners being used for sex/raped. So the name is doubly ironic.
