Well, I came home Friday afternoon and there were 2 squirrels f*cking on our roof. Does that count as a harbinger?

Holy smokes its like a squirrel orgy in the pin oak tree in my front yard. The birds are getting crazy, and they are kinda violent. Playing ball in the back yard, my 5 year old son asks "what are those birds doing?"

. . . it's 60 something degrees here in Boston. I was walking out the door this morning to go to the gym, and had to dump the heavy sweatshirt and wind pants. It was already in the mid 50s.

We're supposed to get some cooler weather later this week, with some rain/snow possible, but today is absolutely beautiful. :7up:

You have the same philosophy of Azaelas that I have: let them grow!

Long ago, I lost count of the number of people who told me that Azaelas had to constantly be trimmed back.

I have studiously ignored that advice, and now have monstrous azaelas that everybody says: "wow" at when they see them

We're expecting some cold later this week and again this weekend. The reality of living in New England is April has some pretty wild swings. It was near 70 today, and Wednesday night we might see snow flurries.

We had Snow flurries yesterday and a bit of accumulation but the day before we had record high temperatures. This is such a weird year for weather.

Well, the temperature hits above freezing for a high tomorrow and will keep going up, so hopefully that's the last of Winter in Manitoba. On an unrelated note, today I woke up to a huge flock of birds (robins and a smaller one I can't identify) all landing on the berry tree out my window, I would say that it was a nice thing to wake up to for spring coming, but being half asleep, all I could think was "AUUUGH THEIR COMING RIGHT FOR ME!!! HITCHCOCK WAS RIGHT"
