When I was with a soldier and he had been sent to Iraq we had a lot of technology at our disposal, thank-God. I'd get an e-mail from him almost every night letting me know he was okay and sometimes I'd get a satellite phone call/chat for 30 minutes. It was so awesome to see his face and hear his voice. But it was the postcards and the letters that I cherished the most. I miss small gestures.
Love letters are great to have. Seeing the words written does make a difference. I still have a shoe box filled with old love letters
I threw all of mine in the trash, he was a mother f*cker.
I threw mine out. It felt good!
You threw the shoebox out?! Why?
The shoebox was the only thing worth holding on to. The contents had to go
I've burned letters, jewelry photos etc... Except a guitar that was left at my place from one guy... I kept that as asshole tax.
